Win British Airways First Class tea sets, mugs and more with HfP

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

British Airways is now down to the last few plates and dishes in its First Class crockery sale – although you can still buy meal trolleys, equipment boxes and oven racks.

The good news is that we managed to pick up a few of the more popular items whilst they were still in stock including a set of mugs and tea cups. Starting today, we are giving them away.

BA first crockery

One lucky Head for Points reader will win the lot and be able to impress their relatives at Christmas 😉

All you have to do is follow us on Instagram, and like and comment on our competition post.

What’s included in the prize?

  • Set of 6 William Edwards BA First mugs
  • Set of 6 William Edwards BA First tea cups and saucers
  • One First bread basket
  • One First day blanket
  • One Club World passenger quilt
BA first crockery 2

How to enter

We are running this competition exclusively on our Instagram page.

(We apologise to those of you who avoid social media. We don’t intend to set a precedent with this – we are trialling it as an experiment.)

In order to enter you must:

We will randomly select the winner after Friday midnight and notify them via Instagram.

Even if you can’t enter the competition because you are outside the UK, you should still follow us on Instagram. On Friday, we will be live-blogging our tour of Virgin Atlantic’s last 747, which should include lots of interesting behind-the-scenes content.

Competition rules

There is one prize consisting of the items listed above

The competition closes at 23:59 on Friday 11th December

Entries are limited to one submission per person: you must follow our Instagram and like AND leave a comment on the competition post (although the comment can be anything!)

The winner must be 18 years or older and resident of the United Kingdom with a UK shipping address

This competition is organised by Head for Points.  British Airways is not involved in its organisation and is not responsible for arranging delivery of the prize.

Head for Points cannot be held responsible if, despite our best efforts, the prize is damaged in transit. We cannot arrange replacement items and no cash alternative will be offered.

Good luck.

  • ThinkSquare says:

Faffy! Please can we go back to posting half our postcode?

    • Lady London says:

No – your data is much more valuable if you put the whole thing in.

It fetches a much higher price as the full postcode narrows your location down to something like 20 houses.

Not only is that valuable but it’s very, very easy for people that buy your data to match it to other data they access to and your exact address and who you are and your other activity, history and preferences are very quickly known across platforms. Regardless of any confidentiality laws promises or agreements.

Yup,first part only of postcode would feel a bit better. But where’s the interest in that?

    So much moan!

And I can see at least one person that hadn’t read the Ts & Cs…

  • Jessiefan says:

    Insta-what?

  • Chris K says:

    In my 20s

    Don’t use Instagram

    Never will.

    • Andrew says:

You don’t have to actively post on Instagram to be able to view the content and there’s a loads of content on there for a full range of interests – it’s not just reality TV people posting their gym workouts.

      • Chris K says:

Not interested. I’ve seen the damage to my generation it causes and I don’t want any part in supporting it.

Good luck to those who do enter.

  • Scott says:

I’ve still not received either of my orders from WhataBuy for BA items – anyone else in the same boat?!

    • Graham D says:

Yes. Still awaiting an order (or even an update on this order) made at 08:43 on the date it went live over 2 weeks ago.

Have emailed several times – not heard a thing. Blanket silence.

Of more concern is that K+N are going to be involved in the distribution of COVID vaccines. If they cannot fathom the logistics of sending out some plates and bowls, then god help us when it comes to vaccines.

      • Andrew says:

Blanket silence – pardon the pun!

      • Stuart says:

Same as you both. Like Graham I ordered early on the first day. The couple of items that I received were incorrect and I haven’t received all the items I paid for. I have emailed on numerous occasions with no response so I have initiated a charge back on my credit card. I just want the money back that I gave them in good faith

      • AndyC says:

That’ll be First Class blanket silence then…

    • Paul Stevens says:

I ended up making three orders. One has arrived – no word on the other two.

    • Scott says:

Thanks – a bit depressing but glad I’m not the only one! Perhaps they’re trying to replicate the sensation of pressing the call bell on a flight with a rubbish crew (when nothing happens..!). I’ve emailed them tonight and will hope to get a response…

  • Chris Heyes says:

    in my 70s whats insta-Coffee ? lol

  • Nadeshka says:

At least this is better than the Hilton competition that required you to make your Instagram profile public!
I don’t think it’s the end of the world to have one small competition only on that platform. I’m not on twitter and I don’t mind when things only run on there, it’s just the nature of online engagement these days.
Anyway fewer entries = better chance of winning for us!

    • The real John says:

I have a twitter that is used purely for entering competitions and occasionally for getting companies to respond to my complaints when they ignore all other communication methods.

Had I the slightest interest in BA crockery, I would sign up for instagram and only use the account for entering competitions.

      • Lady London says:

I had one of those with Facebook.

Facebook found out I wasn’t sharing my personal data and shut the account telling me under Facebook rules I was supposed to.

        Go figure.

      • Bagoly says:

I see up a Twitter account purely to try to cancel a flight on Iberia.
It didn’t work, but fortunately the 20th ‘phone call did.
Twitter closed it for my not doing something.

  • Felix says:

    Thanks
