According to a Sky News report, see here, Virgin Atlantic is close to completing an additional £160 million fundraising.

It is believed that Sir Richard Branson will lend another £100 million, with “a further £60 million of deferrals from creditors”.

I would imagine that these creditors are likely to be Virgin Group, potentially deferring further brand license fees, and fellow shareholder Delta Air Lines.

This latest financing comes after the £1.2 billion refinancing agreed last year although – as our article explained – the amount of ‘new money’ that deal provided was just a fraction of the headline amount.

The airline also freed up $230 million in January by refinancing two Boeing 787 aircraft.

Wish I had known the Dell credit run from Jan to June and then start again in July. I would have waited to apply for the Buss. Plat until the end of the promo doing from beginning April and the 3 months gets you into July already, certainly not the end of the world but…(Something to consider when the time to ask for retention bonus comes). At least just showed on my account the spend £1000 at once get £150 offer on the new card!!

  • MilesOnPoint says:

In order to get the Amex credit (£50 or £100) to post, do you have to order from the Dell Business site? Or can you use the consumer one? (Often dell consumer site has extra discounts/codes available)

  • Mark says:

Can you make a purchase after you are enrolled straight after? Or do you need to wait for the offer to show up on the Amex app offer section?

  • Gavin says:

Shame about the IHG dynamic pricing. I booked a hotel during Oktoberfest a couple of years ago, which was a bargain on points. Now, all options are at least 50% more.

    • Chas says:

It’s not all dynamic pricing – I made a booking yesterday where I got 1.5p per point

    • David says:

Just booked 5 nights in Plymouth for July. Using points I have just purchased it cost £450 at the current rate of 25000 points per night . Cash price for the same nights would be £1,600.

  • Nathan says:

I also received the spend £1000 get £150 credit. Can the Dell credit stack? (225 off 1000 spend)

    • Hotelier says:

      Can’t see why I wouldn’t

    • Scallder says:

The Marriott offers on the Bonvoy card stacked so got £50 and £75 back on a £200 spend in October so they should do!

  • John Tickner says:

Link to buy with Amex BAPP seems to just hang and not process

  • Sarah says:

Any update on IHG extending ambassador free night offer which expires at end of April?

    • Ryan Gill says:

      +1

      • Ryan Gill says:

I booked using it in April anyway, so I’m concerned I wouldn’t be notified if they extended it.

        • Sarah says:

I had it booked for the 02 in April but then hotel cancelled. I called ihg and they still wouldn’t extend it even though it was hotel that cancelled and not me.

  • Chris H says:

    Beware when ordering from DELL!
If you need something in a hurry, be VERY careful.
I ordered a monitor at the beginning of February and the delivery date is 5th May (3 months). When I contacted them they said that there was a shortage of parts and they are built to order. Because I ordered from the business site I could not cancel the order.
My advice is that when you order look closely at the expected delivery date. It is most likely to be accurate, and may be many months into the future.
Order via the consumer site if you can, so you can cancel the order if delivery wait is too long.
After several emails, chats and calls they allowed me to cancel the order if I ordered an alternate one. I found a slightly more expensive one with only 2 months waiting time for delivery, and am still waiting.

    • IanM says:

I’ve found Dell customer support to be shockingly bad, at least for personal customers. SLow response, unsatisfactory outcomes, little product knowledge.

      • Christopher says:

Second this. They are an absolute shambles of a customer service operation. And their entry level laptops are rubbish, they die after light usage 2-3 years down the line. I’ve stopped my team from buying any Dells and moved onto HP, so far so good.
