Got a pile of unspent Hilton Honors points from the last 18 months, and a social diary which is emptier than usual?

Good news – Hilton Honors has added some VIP hospitality sports packages to its ‘Experiences’ platform today.

I have slotted this in as an intra-day article as these are mainly ‘Buy It Now’ tickets and I’d prefer HfP readers to grab them.

England v India fifth test

This is NOT a ‘buy it now’ package, so you will have to bid your points if you want it.

Hilton Honors is offering three VIP packages for day one of the final England v India test match. The game is being played at Old Trafford in Manchester and the packages are for 10th September.

Each package is for TWO people and includes:

  • overnight accommodation for 9th September at the Hilton Garden Inn Old Trafford
  • buffet lunch in the Century Lounge
  • seating on an elevated balcony
  • access to a complimentary bar during the day

The minimum bid is 50,000 Hilton Honors points. The auction closes on 30th August.

BMW PGA championship, Wentworth

The following three events are ‘buy it now’.

Hilton is offering hospitality packages for the BMW PGA golf tournament at Wentworth, from 9th to 12th September.

Each package is for TWO people. You will be receive all day complimentary food and drink whilst overlooking the 18th hole of Wentworth Golf Club.

Pricing is, for two:

  • Thursday 9th – 40,000 Hilton Honors points
  • Friday 10th – 40,000 Hilton Honors points
  • Saturday 11th – 60,000 Hilton Honors points
  • Sunday 12th – 60,000 Hilton Honors points

No accommodation is included and you are responsible for your own transport to the event. The small print says that a lateral flow test will be required for entry – there is no mention of fully vaccinated people being exempt from this.

At the time of writing the number of packages available varies from three to 12 depending on day.

Based on our target value of 0.33p per Hilton Honors point, you are looking at spending between £130 and £200-worth of points for a day of free food and drink for two people whilst watching some of the world’s top golfers, which sounds like a decent deal to me.

The quickest way to bring up the right page is to filter by ‘United Kingdom’ under ‘All Destinations’. You don’t need to change the dates.

  • Kevin C says:

Looks like they are all gone now. Does anyone know if this is this is Hilton’s own hospitality or one of the standard packages you can buy on the ticket page?

    • Rob says:

As Hilton is sponsoring the event I would imagine they have their own tent.

      • Kevin C says:

Thanks. That’s what I imagined. Looking forward to it. Hoping Hilton will be able to put on their London music event again by next year.

  • Jamie Rennie says:

How do you make a bid for the Test Match hospitality? Can’t find the portal and it doesn’t appear on Hhonors membership page.

    • AlanC says:

Pity the accommodation is the night before. Not keen on driving home after a free drinks afternoon!!
