Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will restart flights to Tobago on 29th January.

The reason that the route can return so quickly is that this is not a direct flight. Tobago, pictured below, is being tagged onto selected Barbados flights, with the aircraft stopping in Bridgetown for 75 minutes on the way.

Flights will operate on Tuesday and Saturday, using an older A330-300 aircraft.

Virgin Atlantic restarts flights to Tobago

Due to the stopover in Barbados, you leave London at 09.10 and arrive in Tobago at 17.00. The return flight leaves at 18.50 to arrive in Heathrow at 10.00 the next day.

The route is in addition to recent returns to The Bahamas, St Lucia and – a new route – St Vincent and The Grenadines.

You can book on the Virgin Atlantic website here.

Virgin also curtailing the Edinburgh to Barbados flight in February rather than the planned April. Low bookings, not really that surprised.

Well, not reward flights available in Business on Weds and Sun from Edinburgh direct, but lots on all the other days via Amsterdam.

So they can’t be that desperate to get passengers if they are that empty that they are binning the route?

So happy I sold out to Hilton – might have been tempted by Greggs otherwise!

    “Caribbean bits”

    Good title 🙂

    “Air Lingus returns to Barbados”

a typo, or a new stylebook to translate foreign words into english for titles?

Looking forward to “Air Hansa” 🙂
