Rotterdam Airport gets a lounge

Dutch reader Roberto dropped me a note to highlight the opening of the first airport lounge at Rotterdam The Hague Airport in the Netherlands.

Operated by PrimaVista, the lounge covers 150 square metres – so it’s not huge – and has seating for 20 guests.

The opening hours are 5.30am to 7pm.

British Airways will be using the lounge for Club Europe and status passengers on its flights to London City Airport.

You can also access the lounge via Priority Pass (get two free visits with Amex Gold or buy one here) or for €25 in cash.

Interestingly, you are encouraged to email in advance to guarantee access – this appears to be a free service – to rotterdam@primavistalounges.com.

Additional lounge visits are charged at £20.  You get four more free visits for every year you keep the card.

HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard gets you get a free LoungeKey card, allowing you access to the LoungeKey network.  Guests are charged at £20 although it may be cheaper to pay £60 for a supplementary credit card for your partner.
