The aim of this feature is to summarise flight, hotel and points offers that are ending soon.  Everything listed below has been covered on HfP in recent weeks, but years of experience of running offers for HfP readers has made it very clear that a large proportion like to leave things to the last minute ….

Hotel promotions and ‘buy points’ offers

Here are registration links for the current hotel promotions from the major chains:

  • Accor Live Limitless – triple base points on stays to 31st January 2023 which are booked by 30th December 2022 – register here before booking (this is technically for JAL Mileage Bank members only – you should open a free JAL Mileage Bank account if you want to follow the strict letter of the rules)
  • Hilton Honors – double base points, plus 2000 extra points for weekday checkouts, from 6th September to 31st December – register here
  • Hilton Honors – double elite night credits from 11th October to 31st December – register here (you can register for both of these Hilton promotions)
  • IHG One Rewards – choose from 4000 bonus points every two nights or 10000 bonus points every four nights, from 13th October to 31st December – register here
  • Marriott Bonvoy – 2000 bonus points per stay, starting with your second stay, from 21st September to 15th December – register here by 1st December
  • World of Hyatt – earn double points on stays of 2+ nights from 15th September to 20th December – registration is now closed

Radisson Rewards is not currently running a global promotion.

Wednesday 7th December

Last day for Amex Gold cardholders to potentially win 1 million points by downloading the Amex Experiences app

Sunday 11th December

Last day to win 1 million Virgin Points by entering the free draw in the Virgin Red app or on its website

Monday 12th December

LAST DAY for American Express Shop Small – get £5 cashback on qualifying £15+ purchases

Thursday 15th December

Last day for stays to count towards the Marriott Bonvoy Autumn promotion, earning 2,000 bonus points per stay (register here by 1st December)

Friday 16th December

    Already had the Barclays premium card. Signed up for the paperless premium account and switched on the avoid option. But I’m not seeing anything in the correspondence that conforms I’ll get the 100k. Was there supposed to be any confirmation. It something I can do to check I’ll get it?

        @Damien, I received an email which did not state anything about the 100k avios once my application was sorted, But the chap in the bank said it’s all sorted, So I would not be concerned about it. If you wanted peace of mind just call them and they will be happy to confirm this.

    Re The 100k avois promotion, After reading some people having issues I thought I would pop into my local Barclays Bank yesterday and speak to a human to get this sorted. (I am old school) Good job I did as my avios Barclaycard and my existing Barclays business and current accounts were under different profiles which I was not aware of.

    No eligibility checks were needed for the premier account £75k pa requirement as the system was happy with the accounts previous years cash flows.
    The young man quickly addressed everything and it was all sorted within 30 mins. Looking forward to the 100k avois in March 23.

      Yes we did the same, queuing for the branch to open at 0930. All sorted with very efficient helpful advisor. Same issue with a second profile being created by the app application for an existing Avios plus card holder. If this is you, head to branch
