  Does anyone have any F sweet spots that allow longest distance for the lowest Avios? Is it Sydney or Cape Town in CW like Rob mentions in previous thread? With the new 241 btw? Thanks

    you may not get the answer you want from here as most Hfpers will advise against going to destination for the sake of being on F but rather be destinations you would like to go and then try to make the trip most comfortable.

    but I totally understand your point as my partner has the same thoughts when speaking of avios. 😀 I would say LAX is one of them.

    I just booked INV-SCL for Feb 2024, off-peak, 119k avios using 2-4-1 voucher plus £670 tax. Personally, I think that is a good deal as we really want to visit the Patagonia for an almost 15 hrs flight outbound.

        I think we will probably try to get low tax ex-(one of) Brazil cities or just flying out of EZE using AF or KLM as we do have some ~60k or so FB.

  Got a BA flight LHR to PHL in July as part of BA Holiday tier point run. Can I use Avios to upgrade that leg if available and if so will I get 210 TPs instead of 140?

        Would it be worth checking the updated reservation to ensure your fare class has not changed to a promotional upgrade fare class (to First) yet the points awarded as if in Club?

        I may be mistaken (if so, happy to be corrected) but I recall occasions in the past where I’d get to Heathrow and ask about an upgrade (say Economy to Premium Economy) , pay £200-£300 to sit in PE however the tier points were awarded as if flown in economy.

        Checking your booking should display which fare class you’re booked into —> then check the Avios calculator (alternatively if your booking shows an updated number of tier points already , then that confirms a First fare class🙂)

  Just used this news from HfP to change a club world 2 4 1 booking to ORD to First. But because of the crazy system of old vouchers , and no flight Saver fares in 1st the offer was this:
  Upgrade 1 way only for 2 pax CW-F £1070 TO PAY and 22,000 avios REFUNDED
  Upgrade both ways for 2 pax still only CW -F £1070 TO Pay but 34,000 avios refunded.
  Bit of a no brainer – upgraded both legs, as it was cheaper than 1 leg !!! Go figure

  A month back when we saw F open on nearly all DFW April departures, we changed our CW 2-4-1 booking to DFW next month to F. As we had booked pre the introduction of flight saver (ie paying high taxes) the cost of the upgrade each was all of £4.80 extra tax (due to LHR PLS having increased since we booked last June), a £35 change fee and 11k avios per pax segment.

  I am trying to book Mexico City with a BA 2-4-1 voucher first it is a plus voucher, but cannot find any available seats as per your email on the return any thoughts we have had problems with our Exec account not updating for the extra tier point bonus with BA holidays,

    You’re not using the BA reward flight finder are you? This is broken and does not show return flights. You need to search for returns separately.

      I have tried just using the voucher to book but still no joy on first return but will have a another go might be missing something! any thoughts using the voucher would be appreciated thanks

        For 2 people from Mexico City to Heathrow, SeatSpy shows me (on the return) – very little March / April / early May, wide open for 80% of days from 20th May to 31st August, very little after 1st September.
