Welcome to our regular round-up of the best hotel promotions currently running.
All of the information in this article can also be found on our ‘Hotel Offers’ page which contains details of all of the current offers, together with links to our major articles on each hotel scheme. However, a positive response from readers – especially our 17,000 email subscribers – means we run this monthly article as a handy summary.
Here are quick summaries and links to the registration pages you need for each offer – do it before you forget. (I apologise to email readers if this block is mangled – scroll down to the main text area.)
Hilton Honors is offering double or triple base points, depending on the city you are staying in, on every stay between 6th September and 31st December.
Marriott Bonvoy is offering 1,500 bonus points on every stay, plus a further 3,000 bonus points for every three different brands you stay at. Stay dates are between 12th September and 6th December. Registration closes on 22nd November.
World of Hyatt
World of Hyatt is offering double base points on stays between 1st July and 15th September, starting from your second stay. Hotels in the Americas are excluded. Registration is now closed, unfortunately.
The current ‘buy points’ offers running at the moment are:
Hilton Honors is offering a 100% bonus when you buy points by 19th September

Current American Express cashback offers
It’s also worth noting the current American Express cashback offers with the big chains. These may be showing on one or more of your cards and may influence which hotels you book this month:
- Get £100 cashback on £500 of Mandarin Oriental spend, expires 29th September (valid in 11 hotels globally inc US, HK, Japan)
- Get £100 cashback on £500 of Firmdale Hotels spend, expires 17th September (London properties only)
- Get 5,000 Avios (on BA Amex cards) on £300 of Celtic Manor Hotels spend, expires 31st December
- Get £100 cashback on £500 of Peninsula Hotels spend, expires 24th November (six locations globally, London excluded)
Where should you credit your stays for September 2023?
Remember that, irrespective of the offers below, there is never a single ‘best’ offer.
Some offers require multiple stays to maximise the bonus, which you might not do. Some require stays to be a minimum number of nights before a bonus is earned.
You need to factor in any elite status you have, which will earn you additional status bonuses.
More importantly, you need to be able to use the points. There is no value in earning a large bonus in a scheme where you will never go on to earn enough points to get a free night.
There are currently no global offers from:
- Accor Live Limitless
- IHG One Rewards
- Radisson Rewards
Hilton (Hampton, Conrad, Waldorf-Astoria etc)
Hilton has just launched a new promotion called ‘Multiply Your Points’.
You will earn double base points on all stays, and triple base points in selected key cities.
You need to register in advance of your first stay during the period via the Hilton website here. Existing bookings count and all Hilton Honors hotels are taking part.
The Hilton booking page is here.
Marriott Bonvoy (Sheraton, Moxy, St Regis, Ritz Carlton, Renaissance etc)
From 12th September – so it hasn’t launched yet – to 6th December, you can take part in the ‘Go Your Way’ promotion.
You must register in advance of your stay via this link. Registration closes early on 22nd November.
There are two parts to the bonus:
- you will receive 1,500 bonus Bonvoy points for every stay
- you will receive 3,000 additional bonus Bonvoy points for every 3rd brand you stay at during the promotional period
Existing bookings are OK but reward nights do not count.
We value a Marriott Bonvoy point at 0.5p so the standard bonus is worth £7.50 per stay. This clearly benefits those doing cheap one night stays at a Moxy more than those spending a week at a St Regis.
World of Hyatt (Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Andaz, Alila, Unbound Collection etc)
World of Hyatt has launched a promotion for its hotels outside the Americas.
Registration is now closed, unfortunately. Our full article is here.
You will earn double base points on stays outside the Americas between 1st July and 15th September. Annoyingly, the bonus only kicks in from your second stay after registration.
Existing bookings count and Small Luxury Hotels booking are included, as long as they are made via the Hyatt website and are not in the Americas.
The Hyatt booking page is here.
And finally …..
