citizenM hotel sale launched – with six months of mycitizenM+ free for all bookers

Whilst citizenM hotels don’t offer a loyalty programme or miles in any airline scheme, they are popular with our readers due to their mix of low price and modern design.

We’ve been able to review some of their London hotels, including:

CitizenM flash sale hotels

Following a growth spurt, you can now find them in Europe (Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Geneva, Glasgow, London, Paris, Rotterdam, Zurich), the US (Austin, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington), Taipei and Kuala Lumpur.

citizenM is running its winter sale which, they tell us, is the biggest discount they have offered all year. It ends on 27th November.

They have kept it simple:

  • rooms are discounted by 30%
  • there is no minimum stay requirement (not always the case with citizenM sales)
  • you can book for any date up to 31st March 2024
  • you can cancel for free until 6pm on the day of arrival

There’s an extra perk too – free mycitizenM+ membership

Everyone who books a room in the sale will get six months free membership of the mycitizenM+ scheme.

This gets you:

  • 10% off food and drink (excluding breakfast)
  • up to 30% off rooms
  • guaranteed room availability at 48 hours notice
  • free late check-out
  • premium view upgrade

It’s not entirely clear when the trial kicks in and whether you’d get the benefits on your sale booking. Looking at the sale website I think the benefits starts straight away after you’ve booked.

You can find out more on the citizenM website here.

I signed up for the free trial membership and booked a room at the Miami hotel for a stay last Sunday. 2pm check out & room with view confirmed at time of booking. V impressed with the whole experience.

Thanks Rob. I already had a one night booking for Schipol via booking.com and booking direct with this offer saved me 99 Euros.

Thanks Andy, can I ask which Miami hotel you stayed in and how you found the location?
Looking for a hotel for Feb.

    • Andy says:

It was the CitizenM Miami World Center hotel (there are two Citizen M hotels in the city). After disembarking Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady, we wanted somewhere convenient to stay – this hotel is a 10-minute Uber ride from the passenger terminal. It’s also easy to use public transport to get to Miami Beach and Little Havana. Less than twenty minutes to the airport by car, too. The hotel has a decent rooftop bar overlooking Freedom Tower and the arena – although our ‘upgraded’ room came with the same view. We were able to store our luggage at 1030am and checked in using a kiosk at 1230, our stay lasting over 24 hours – a good deal.
