London City Airport finally gets a Priority Pass lounge card option

If you have a Priority Pass airport lounge access card, there is finally something to do with it at London City Airport.

No, the airport hasn’t opened a lounge.

Priority Pass has, however, done a deal with the Cabin Bar.

Priority Pass adds Manchester, Cardiff, Bristol airport food deals

You will receive a £15 credit towards drinks or food at the Cabin Bar by showing your Priority Pass. If your Priority Pass allows a free guest and you arrive with someone else, you will receive a £30 credit between you. Priority Pass describes it as a ‘cosy bar offering a selection of fine wines and culinary creations.’

Unfortunately this deal is NOT available to anyone who gets their Priority Pass via American Express. It is available to anyone who gets their pass directly from Priority Pass or via another financial partner such as the HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard or the new £15 per month Lloyds Bank World Elite Mastercard.

Cabin Bar is located after security, directly ahead of you. Weekdays, it is open from 5am to 9pm. On Saturdays it is open from 5am to 12.30pm and on Sundays it is open from 11am to 8.30pm.

You can find out more the deal by searching for London City Airport on the Priority Pass website.

PS. Without wishing to state the obvious, you should not take part in this deal if you have a ‘pay per use’ or – if you’re not alone – a ‘pay for guests’ Priority Pass. The guest fee is now £24 and you are getting £15 of Cabin Bar credit so you can see the problem here!

Amex needs to sort itself out with its nerfed priority pass, its not good enough.

It just about justifies itself on the current fees (I consider the HN credit and UK restaurant credit near worthless as I’d use neither if it werent free), when the fee goes up, it wont be.

Aspire seem to have cut back since I was last there. No crisps, bourbons or custard creams. I’m guessing the boomers were taking them?

  • ADS says:

as long as you have the login details for your deceased relative’s account … is there any reason to bother notifying BA of the death?

especially if you have the same surname as the deceased – so the surname on the credit card paying the fees is the same as the BAEC account
