Bronze is one of four tiers of the Executive Club, British Airways’ frequent flyer membership scheme. In this article we’ll look at whether you can use business class check in as a British Airways Executive Club Bronze member.

As you are probably aware, access to business class check-in can sometimes save considerably time when at the airport, since you can skip the economy queue.

In general, British Airways does well at processing passengers quickly at its Terminal 5 facility at Heathrow, but for flights from other destinations having priority check-in can be a big boon.

Can I use business class check-in with a British Airways Bronze card?

The good news is that as Bronze member, you can use Club World, Club Europe or the equivalent oneworld business class check in regardless of what class you’re flying. This means that, even if you are flying economy, you will be able to jump the queues when checking in and dropping your bags off.

This isn’t just a benefit you get when flying with British Airways. It also applies to flights with other airlines in the oneworld alliance, such as American Airlines and Qatar Airways.

There are only two exceptions:

  • priority check-in and priority boarding are not available to Bronze Members at London City Airport
  • Bronze members at New York JFK are not eligible to use business class check-in but have access to a dedicated Bronze / oneworld Ruby check-in lane

Remember that priority check in is not your only benefit as a Bronze member. You can see a full list of all the British Airways Executive Club Bronze benefits on ba.com here, as well as our article here about what it takes to become a British Airways Bronze cardholder.
