Where should you credit your stays for November 2024?

Remember that, irrespective of the offers below, there is never a single ‘best’ offer.

Some offers require multiple stays to maximise the bonus, which you might not do. Some require stays to be a minimum number of nights before a bonus is earned.

You need to factor in any elite status you have, which will earn you additional status bonuses.

More importantly, you need to be able to use the points. There is no value in earning a large bonus in a scheme where you will never go on to earn enough points to get a free night.

Here are your options:

Hilton Honors current offers

Hilton (Hampton, Conrad, Waldorf-Astoria etc)

Hilton has a promotion called ‘Power Up’.

You can register here.  Our full article is here. It runs until 31st December.

You will earn 2,500 bonus points on all stays, cash or reward, during the promotional period.

You need to register in advance of your first stay during the period via the Hilton website here.  Existing bookings count and all Hilton Honors hotels are taking part.

The Hilton booking page is here.

IHG One Rewards (InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo etc)

IHG One Rewards is running two promotions at the moment.

The main one offers 3,000 bonus points for every two cash nights you stay. These do not need to be consecutive.

You can register here. Our full article is here. It runs until 31st December.

The second offer is for triple base points at five niche IHG brands – voco, avid hotels, EVEN Hotels, Atwell Suites and Garner Hotels. voco is the only one you are likely to use unless you are travelling to the US.

You can register here. Our full article is here. It runs until 31st December.

These two offers will stack so you can earn twice.

The IHG booking page is here.

Marriott (St Regis, Sheraton, Westin, Four Points etc)

Marriott has a promotion called ‘Earn Two Ways’ for the autumn.

You can register here.  Our full article is here. It runs until 26th November although registration closes early on 12th November.

You will earn 2,000 bonus points on cash stays of 2+ nights.

Holders of the UK Marriott Bonvoy American Express credit card will receive an additional 2,000 bonus points on each 2+ night cash stay, for a total bonus of 4,000 points. Oddly, this element requires separate registration which can only be done via the ‘Promotions’ tab of the Marriott website when you are logged in.

You need to register in advance of your first stay during the period via the Marriott website here.  Existing bookings count.

The Marriott booking page is here.

world of hyatt narrow

There is a separate promotion offering double points at Mr & Mrs Smith properties booked via the Hyatt website.

You need to register here by 30th November 2024 and complete your qualifying stays by 24th December 2024. Full details are in an article here.

Get £100 back on a £250 spend with selected World of Hyatt hotels

Does anyone know how and, if possible at all, to use with Hyatt Prive via Emyr for stay after the cut off date of 6th Jan?

Appreciate book direct via the website should work for stay after the cut off date by calling the hotel to take the pre payment.

    • Steven says:

Just make the booking as planned, then call up the hotel and ask them to take the payment from you there and then before the cut off date.

    • aseftel says:

Some Prive rates require prepayment of course. If not, you or Emyr should be able to arrange to take prepayment. As ever, more analogue solutions like filling in an authorization form or completing the transaction form are more likely to trigger than an online payment link.

      • Gordon says:

On a recent enquiry with Emyr, regarding a Hyatt property, I was given the option of an additional 10% discount if i paid a one night deposit, fully refundable.

  • Jonathan says:

Is this a sufficient discount? Don’t they usually offer something like 40% whereas virgin is often 70% and IH G and Hilton 100%?

    • Rob says:

You might see 30% with Hyatt but not linked to a double of the limit. If you’re not interested in exploiting the doubled limit then you could hold off until next year.

      • Jonathan says:

That’s very helpful Rob; I had convinced myself that 30% didn’t seem a good discount but yes double the limit is of great interest.
