Using Avios for Aer Lingus Business Class seats

Good morning,
On a recent Avios redemption trip from DUB to ACE I noticed the Aer Lingus plane had business class up front as I headed towards the rear..

When I try to book business class for same route via Avios.com I cannot find any availability on any date on Aer Lingus flights.

Couple of questions :
Am I missing something here ? ( Other than my marbles ! )
Does Aer Lingus business give you an extra bag etc ?

For some reason there is no Lingus availability in Business on Avios.com. You need to RING BA and enquire about availability via BAEC redemptions.

Not sure if you can redeem on short haul flat beds – it would depend on whether they were confident the plane would not be switched. These are long haul aircraft which do a bit of short haul to full schedule gaps, ie land from US AM but not returning until the afternoon.
