Are the offers generally better on the paid MR cards such as the gold card versus the free BA avios card?

My observation is that whichever card you use to spend the most often gets the most offer.
I get the most (and best) offers on my Gold card, but agree with DJ’s comment above – this is also the one I typically put the most spend through (substantial and frequent work expenses at times).
In our household I have BAPP and Gold, my wife has BAPP and Plat. My Gold has for years, systematically received the best offers both in number but also when there are variants of the same offer, Gold has the best – eg recently F&M, 7% off on Plat, 10% off on both BAPPs and 15% on my Gold. Quite regular low threshold MR bonuses on Gold as well. In the UK I really only use the card for offers.
Gold gets the most and best offers.
Bonvoy card is the worst, partly compensated by good offers from Marriott.
BAPP and platinum get more of upmarket brands and hotels, airlines etc.
The free cards get more of low end offers like £5 off Krispy Kreme.
