    Signed up to the recent deal for a premium plus card with a 60k welcome bonus when spending £6k in first 3 months (only available when applying after logging into BA exec or avios account)

    How can I confirm that the offer is applied correctly to my account so i know it’ll come through after 3 months? Amex seem to be clueless giving me other promos and even directed me to speak to BA who obviously have no clue.

    You should be able to see this in your points statement when it’s applied… I had a big runaround with Amex Platinum lately, when I kept querying on chat if I reached my spend I was getting wildly different answers, from saying I spent £6500 to £10,150 to £9850… it was very annoying. However, once I really did hit the threshold, the points came through the next day.

However, once I really did hit the threshold, the points came through the next day.

    On the phone they told me the offer on my account was 85,000 points for £12k or 45,000 for £6k, neither of which was the actual sign up offer. I hope they do it right like they did for you – just wanted to confirm the offer had tracked on their end. As you got the points the next day, i wonder how it works if you then had a refund that brought you back under the threshold..

    There is no tracker on the app or website for this. No need to call Amex until you are sure you have crossed the threshold. If after a few days you don’t see the credit in your app, call them.

    As MajaS wrote, it usually gets credited the day after spending crosses the threshold.

    As you got the points the next day, i wonder how it works if you then had a refund that brought you back under the threshold..

    Avios will be deducted. You can still spend before the original deadline and ask for the avios to be credited back.
    If the avios have moved to your BA account, it wont be clawed back. Instead your Amex account will show a negative balance.
