Dear all. Is it possible to book two Economy Class Avios Award flights with Amex 241 voucher and then upgrade to First Class later? Many thanks
Yes, subjective to availability is the short answer
Long answer
Yes, you’ll need to pay a change fee and the additional taxes and avios; you will also need to call to make the changes
No.
With BA avios you can only upgrade one cabin.
You can do WT to WTP but not CW or F.
@BAflyer isn’t it basically a new booking though from an avios economy to an avios first one? One class upgrade applies on cash tickets when upgrading with avios but I think it might be different for avios bookings.
Yes you can, i think it will be treated a a cancellation of the leg which is then re-booked rather than an upgrade.

“Can I upgrade British Airways flights by more than one category?
No.
A BA Economy / Euro Traveller ticket can only be upgraded, if it can be upgraded at all, to World Traveller Plus on long-haul.
You cannot upgrade to Club World unless you buy a World Traveller Plus ticket, and you cannot upgrade to First unless you buy a Club World ticket.”
I thought that’s for cash ticket.

@AmaD if you are just hoping a First Class reward seat comes up you can certainly pay the change fee and pay the extra Avios, but that isn’t strictly an upgrade. That is buying a new seat and cancelling the existing booking, you will end up with a new PNR and a new ticket. An upgrade is you buy a seat in one cabin and then change the booking, but keep your existing reservation. And for that to happen you can normally only upgrade to the next cabin from what you originally booked.
Thank you AJA. That’s what I am hoping for:)
