I’m not familiar with booking avios flights on Qatar, hence my request.
I need to book a flight to Colombo or Phuket, and back for October. Dates are quite flexible.
I don’t think BA flies direct to either so the best solution would be to fly QR – and I’m pretty curious about trying their J class.
What’s the best way of doing so? Book on BA or QR website? I did a quick simulation and flights on QR seem quite expensive in terms of avios needed.
Also what are the rules in terms of cancellation etc? I have absolutely no idea. I don’t think I can use a BAPP companion voucher to halve the avios needed either?
Thanks for any pointers.
No you can’t use the Amex or Barclays vouchers on QR. Avios price should be the same unless you’re only seeing “flexi” award availability, where QR charges double.
Much discussion of this on previous threads!
I think cancellation is up to 24 hours, possibly £25 pp via QR.
