Hello
I’m looking to claim compensation for a delayed flight purchased using BA Avios. The flight was however was with a partner airline (Qatar), LHR-SIN with a scheduled 1h45min transit in Doha. The DOH-SIN leg was delayed and the flight eventually reached SIN 4.5hrs late.
I know compensation rules also apply forflights purchased on frequent flyer points but in this situation I’m looking for guidance on who the claim should be made against – BA or Qatar. From a sale point of view, the purchase was made with BA Avios and so I would say the ‘contract’ is with them. The ticket however did not have a BA codeshare flight number but instead has the QR flight. I could always try BA first and wait for the outcome but would ideally like to understand where I stand under the Act.
DOH-SIN QR944 scheduled arrival 21:25
Arrived next day at 01:49.
Announcement at DOH original had a 2.5 hour delay.
It the changed to additional 2 hours.
No explanation for the delay was given.
Thanks
You claim from the operating airline so QR.
Who you bought the ticket from, flight numbers or how you paid makes no difference.
