Yes, according to several posters over on FT.
When does double tier points not mean double tier points? I took a BA holiday to Dubai in early November and my 300 base tier points posted almost immediately. My “double” points have now posted multiplying my 300 points to 580! I assume this is to do with my flying back via Doha which gave me 20 points and that this has been missed. Has anyone else had this issue? I tried to ring the exec club Silver line but my call kept being dropped so I have had to raise a complaint.
Did DXB-DOH have a BA flight number? If no, it might not qualify for the double TPs.

You really need to provide full details of the individual flight routings, cabin class and operator to get a peoper ansder
As @NorternLass says this is likely because you had an internal flight without a BA code share
c) The booking must contain British Airways flights including codeshares and British Airways marketed and/or operated flights only. Flights not meeting these criteria within the booking won’t be awarded Tier Points. Flights offered as part of a British Airways Holidays package that are provided by other airline partners that do not have a British Airways flight number will not be eligible.
Long time lurker and relative newbie here 🙂 looking at my first BAH.
How best to find a decent-ish deal next April/May ex JER to US west coast via east coast in F – to get Gold in one trip?
Many thanks!
@flyingbanker April has Easter holidays and there’s demand for those considering a holiday between Easter Monday and May day bank holidays, so I wouldn’t look at April.
Look at the period in Mid may that is away from the bank holidays and use BA’s holiday finder tool.
Anyone know what would happen with a BA Holiday booked now that starts before 31st March but ends after?
Hi folks, does the double tier point offer apply to new bookings, finishing prior to 31st March? Seems to be that way in the BA Holiday page, but trying to confirm what the reality is given the new rules. I recall February was mentioned in there somewhere as a cutoff date, but no mention in the terms I can now see.
“d) The hotel/car element of the package must be for a minimum of five nights within the flight travel dates for travel before 31 March 2025. (Holiday must be completed by this date i.e. return flight to the UK must be on or before 31 March 2025).”
Replied to your similar query in the other thread about BA Membership years
Re Car Hire : on BAH bookings, if the car hire is picked up late at night (say 1130pm) on the arrival date, is this still counted as part of the 5 days of car hire? Just seen on some older threads reports about a silent rule for 24hrs car hire x 5 , not just the day of pickup as booking says. Would like to know if this is something to worry about or just not an issue and any valid 5 day stay in a destination, with car hire that covers those inbound/outbound days, is enough. The point being its the booking dates I thought counted for this, not the number of hours you drove the car around in between.
On the same note – when i look at a BAH booking the ‘Executive members earn double tier points’ red text only appears on a 6day booking not a 5day booking. Ive seen this is not to be relied on as an indicator, but will the BAEC want that as proof if any of the above is disputed?
Obviously just trying to dot the i’s and cross the t’s given proximity to cut off dates.
Thanks.

The key appears to be, like the hotel requirement, to book the car for five nights, so not necessarily 5 x 24hrs. The pick up and drop off times don’t matter.

Thanks, and what about the other bit about ‘Executive Club members earn Double Tier Points’ not showing up even tho its 5 nights (albeit starting 1130)? Anything to worry about there?
@desh36000 – my understanding is that it’s the five nights of either car hire that counts and not blocks of 24 hours which might actually be quite unreasonably difficult to plan. This was my experience last May in Belgrade – picked up the car at lunchtime, away five nights, returned it early morning, got the double points.
Hi all,
For a pre April BAH points run , LHR-SOF-LHR with car 6 nights, then nested SOF-LHR-SOF rtn with car parked in airport parking for the interim period. 6 nights to be safe on the double TP offer, the hire cost only goes up a fiver so I figure worth it as rules change in April.
Im assuming this should earn : 80+80 = 160 x 2TP offer = 320, + 80+80 nested flights = 480.
Quick questions:
1. Seen that there are std priced business flights from MAN and EDI. If i tack on say EDI as start point, I am assuming the earn rate is then:
40+80+80+40 = 240 x 2TP offer = 480, + 80+80 nested flights = 640. Is my maths right here as seems like silver points in one ‘run’? I know this is pretty std to a lot of folks but just checking.
2. Can a BAH be amended to change the start point of the flights only? Website says to phone and fees depend on package and flight fare types. Im on business so I assume potentially flexible but no idea until I call. Anyone tried this with success? Also wondering about the fees involved and if that makes it pointless.
Hoping to close out a rollover year of Silver or such : via this BAH + nested, then top up with whatever EU jaunt or day trip required. But if i can amend to do it in one then happy days
Any tips appreciated.
Hello everyone. Hope someone will be able to help me with he following. I originally booked a 5 night trip (flight and hotel) to Doha with BA to obtain the double tier points. My inbound BA flight was cancelled and the alternative was a Qatar Airways flight.
Upon completion of the trip, will I still be eligible for the double tier points as it was still 5 nights hotel and flight stay (cash paid).

Yes, you need to ask BA Holidays to fix this after you have flown by asking for ORC (Original Routing Credit) which they can sort out for you more efficiently than BAEC. It’s a fairly standard process that should take a week or so to process TP and Avios. Once fixed, will be a great result getting QR rather than BA.
I’ve tried searching multiple times but maybe I’m having a bad day because I can’t find a clear answer:
I also have a problem with the doubled points not having posted and so far my phone calls to the usual BA number just result in an agent saying that they’ll email BA Holidays for a resolution. Which hasn’t happened.
How do I get in touch directly with BA Holidays? I can’t find any phone numbers anywhere.
The relevant number should be on your booking confirmation or alternatively you can email them
Customer.Relations@holidays.britishairways.com
Or
BAH normally resolve this very quickly.
Anyone got any recent data points for how long its taking for double points to be added

The obvious response to that is did your TP balance increase or not, but I’m guessing not.
Was Feb 8th your TP collection year end by any chance? If so that would make sense. If Feb 5th was the return flight and it didn’t post until the following collection period then it gets retrospectively added to your lifetime balance and previous year, but shows as zero as it doesn’t count in the current collection period.
If not that then some further details would be useful.
I’ve been back 3 weeks and no double tired points. Starting to get worried they are going to miss the end of the tier point collection year. I called them up and got through to what I think is the ‘bad’ call centre who said they have raised it to be looked into. With everything that happened at Heathrow today I feel like I am not going to be a priority to get resolved!
