Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Barclays voucher plus an AA reward flight

Before I call the booking line and potentially waste a morning, does anyone know if it is possible to add an AA reward flight to a regional airport with a Barclays voucher booking?

Which airport are you referring to? The vouchers have to be used on BA flights, generally, so most AA services would be excluded.

Yes I would use the Barclays on the BA component. However, will BA add the AA reward charged at full avios on the same ticket? I don’t want separate bookings/tickets. Not looking for BA to discount or upgrade the AA portion

You can’t add extra sectors to a booking using an upgrade voucher unless it’s a connection from a UK regional airport with a BA flight number (you still don’t say which route you want to fly!) If your booking is, say, LHR-JFK on BA, then JFK-MIA on AA, then you’d need 2 separate bookings.

Because knowing my specific route matters not and AA don’t fly UK regionally 🙂

Your example clears up the concern I had, thank you. Although I have taken the route using Avios a few times, which can be done on a single booking (when booking on the phone) never with a voucher. Not sure I fancy taking the journey on two bookings.
