Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Better Qatar reward availability direct than shown on BA

Apologies if this has been covered in an article, but I haven’t seen it before. Booked Man-Doh-Dar on Qatar airways business for Oct half term, 65k Avios and £358 one way so not a double Avios price. No availability had been shown on BA from anywhere, but QR had options from London(some flights), Birmingham and Manchester. Could’ve got the way back too if flight had been at the right time.

Just be sure to have the Avios in your QR account, as just having them in my linked BA caused problems and took the taxes without the ticket being issued.

Dangers of writing too late! What I meant is that the BA exec club website (which is meant to, and does normally, show QR availability) showed none, whereas using the Qatar Airways website showed multiple additional flights in both business and economy.

I booked a Qatar F for my wife last Oct via BA when QR showed nothing. Can work both ways.
