Thought I’d share this as a data point, and ask if anyone else is similarly affected. My wife has the Barclaycard Avios Plus, with me as additional card holder. We have had 2 suspicious Amazon transactions, for £4.99 then £48.99. Both reported so cards now cancelled by Barclaycard.
This is similar to the older fraud situation which happened on my old BAPP card, again for Amazon spend.
We only ever use Curve, never the main Barclaycard, so it stands out on the transaction list.
Given Amazon is the biggest shopping website in the world, I am sure there are millions of people similarly affected… Fraudsters will go wherever they have the highest chance of success and I would say Amazon is pretty attractive in this respect.
