Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Companion voucher / Avios Boost query

  • 25 posts

    Hi all

I’m back again but wondered if there was any way around that I haven’t thought about.

So currently booked LON – SIN (5 day stop) SIN – SYD in economy. 62.5k avios £325 tax and 1 BA Companion voucher used (n not BAPP)

A seat has become available the day before my flight in J all the way through to SYD with the shorter connection.

I was wondering is there any interesting ways I can utilise the BA avios Boost to be able to make that affordable without losing my return flight as I’m aware that I can’t change to the business flight because my companion is only valid on Economy

The business seat is 170k avios plus 325 tax

I have 28k avios that can be boosted on the offer

    Any tricks I am missing?

I’m not really sure what you’re asking here. If you want to use avios for business, then as you say, you can’t use your BA voucher. You could do one of the legs in economy, using the voucher, and book the other leg in business, but it’s going to some changes/cancellations/rebooking. And hoping some of the cancelled seats reappear.

Even if there was an avios upgrade available, you could only go from economy to PE.

Please don’t start a new thread when you already have one for the same trip. It means people don’t see all the history and what precious advice you’ve been given,

How many avios will you have is total if you boost those 28K As not all your avios will be boostable.
