    Hi folks

I booked a reward flight (LHR -Syd Return) back in February for travel in November. All went through fine, Avios taken and taxes paid. Booking was made direct through the BA website. I saved out and printed off the E ticket receipt at the time.

A couple of weeks back BA emailed me to say the times of the flight had changed but i didnt have to do anything providing i was happy with the time change, which i was.

When i now come to print off the e ticket receipt i get an error saying its not available and that i should just use the itinerary. Tried ringing BA but the phone line tells me they are experiencing a large volume of calls and to call back later, then it hangs up each time.

I wouldnt have thought to much about it until i saw the thread regarding the e ticket the other week.

Anyone got any views on this? Should it be fine? All the flights are still in the MMB and i can select seats etc.

    Thanks

I can’t print off an e-ticket receipt either on a perfectly normal Avios phone booking made last week so I’m assuming it’s just BA’s crap IT.

My email confirmation has a 125- ticket number on it though. Unless someone can point out the location it appears to be impossible to see the ticket number on the web in MMB now they’ve revamped the website however you can see it on the app under view and manage more flight details.

I have exactly the same issues as you TravelingPhil, when booking was made (all payment and avios taken) I could see e-ticket receipt with no issue, flight times then altered by 15 mins on out and return and now I get the same error message as you are seeing. I contacted BA via Twitter last week and specially asked if the booking is ticketed and they confirmed it was. I can see the 125 numbers in the booking. Even after reading all the pages of the thread you refer to I am still none the wiser how to view the *actual* e-ticket in my booking!

Yes I wouldn’t worry too much about the print error, just make sure there is an e-ticket number showing in the app against every flight.

Following a schedule change, it’s possible and quite normal that your booking status code has changed pending notification and acceptance of said schedule change. On a small change that should, but doesn’t always, happen automatically.

In the olden days someone from the airline would call on a landline to notify you and then update the status and all was good. Nowadays, it might take a call to BA to accept the change – it takes them ten seconds to fix. It shouldn’t create problems until OLCI, but will at that point if the pending status still hasn’t been updated. It’s a different issue to the ticketing one and these things aren’t strictly connected.

    Thanks for the replies.

Glad to see the receipt issue seems universal.

Must admit never bothered with the app after all the negative reviews. Just logged in on it and all flights have ticket numbers still so I ll rest easy.

    Thanks

I think it’s normal or very common not the be able to print e ticket receipt on BA MMB for avios bookings, I get that error on my two bookings , even though no changes have been made to either.

If you are worried then either keep phoning BA , or use the what seems Bizarre but effective idea of going onto Finnair website
