Emirates Heathrow check in desk opening

Hi,

Overnight flight to Dubai tomorrow – can’t face doing it in economy and nothing coming up for miles upgrades online so far so will have to gamble with an airport upgrade….does anyone know what time Emirates opens the check in desks at LHR? Is it the usual 3 hours or so pre-flight or would we have any luck going a little earlier?

At MAN, the queues start to form well before the 3hr opening time for the A380 flights. Emirates carries a large amount of special assistance pasengers so often the check in agents are very busy from the off.

Have you checked in online? Upgrades are usually offered during OLCI

thanks – so just to close the loop in case anyone has the same query in the future, you were indeed correct that
the queues began well before the 3hr check in – we’d planned to get there 4hrs prior but the Elizabeth Line was in particularly efficient form that day and got there even earlier and there were still queues!

Waiting list for a miles upgrade at check in worked without issue so worth considering if people are ever in the same boat!

Glad to hear you got sorted. Hope you got an amenity kit on board too. I recall being fobbed off that day flights from MAN don’t get them
