Mastercard and AMEX voucher question

Hi All,

I have a question regarding these reward vouchers.
If I have a voucher which expires on ‘x’ date, do I have to travel by that said date? Or is it just the booking deadline and I can travel AFTER the last day but it needs to be booked.
