Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Missing Curtain in CE

  • 130 posts

Last week I flew in CE from LHR to WAW on the new A320neo with the large overhead lockers. Yes, the lockers are a big improvement but there was no curtain to divide CE and economy. Result – a constant stream of people walking to the front toilet and kids running up and down the entire length of the plane while the crew tried to serve meal and drinks in CE. In row 4 I had people queuing right next to me for well over an hour on a two hour flight. Far from premium experience. A complaint resulted in immediate 10k avios credit but is BA going to adress this issue? The problem seems widespread on the new A320.

In europe are airlines legally allowed to restrict access to certain toilets to certain cabins (ie refuse to let economy passengers use the business toilet)

Im sure I had read something that said eu law didnt allow that, but I couldnt find anything that actually confirmed it.

The crew made announcements asking ET passengers to use toilets at the back of the plane. I guess the announcements were legal under the uk/eu law so people either did not hear or ignored. The curtain is there for a reason – to offer more privacy and space to those willing to pay more.

I’m surprised it was fitted / used ex LHR I have seen it missing / not used on a flight ex EU as the grown crew haven’t been able to sort moving it properly.

The odd customer from ET is one think a constant stream and 4/5 people deep queue is another especially on a two hour flight!!
