Just received this email…..
An update to your Barclaycard Avios rewards rules.
From 26 October your Barclaycard Avios Plus credit card will include Airport Lounge membership, which means there is an update to your Barclaycard Avios rewards rules. This will give you access to more than 1,000 airport lounges worldwide. So you can leave the airport crowds behind you and get your holiday underway with some tasty pre-flight bites, luxury pamper sessions and more.
We’ve updated your Barclaycard Avios rewards rules to reflect your access to this membership
We’ve teamed up with Assurant and DragonPass to enhance your airport experience that bit more. With your Airport Lounge membership, you’ll soon be able to:
• access over 1,000 airport lounges at a discounted rate of £18.50 per lounge pass, per person
• invite friends and family to join you at the same discounted rate and kick-start your getaway experience
• pre-book for certain airport lounges (£5 booking fee per person, per visit), to guarantee your place
• unlock other benefits such as savings on pre-flight bites in the lounge and restaurants, and spa pamper sessionsAccess to lounges, spa sessions and other benefits are subject to availability and restrictions may apply.
The DragonPass team will be in touch to help you get set up
Keep an eye out for an email from DragonPass Premier+ around the end of October. They’ll send you your login and membership details and show you how to:
• download the DragonPass Premier+ app or log in via the website
• register so you can start using your membershipJust received the same. What are people’s views about the usefulness of DragonPass compared with the PP that I have from Amex Plat – any more chance of being accepted for lounge entry? The sceptical side of me is thinking that they’re as useful as each other…

Certainly cant hurt to have both! It all depends on the lounge demand on the day
I guess the card holder is to pay £18.50 for lounge access, surely thats not worth it if you can get in free from other means?
Looks like it’s a similar offering to the DragonPass classic subscription but without the complementary free visit.
Will have to do a quick look at the numbers and the cut off point for free access to children at my most commonly used lounges to see if there is any benefit in ditching Platinum for this.
Most lounges in the major airports seem to be pre-book only and site mentions a small fee. It’s not clear to me why the fee is, or the cost to being in a guest.
That said it’s a Nice editions perk
