Hi friends,
The more I search for the answer to this question, the more confused I am becoming.
I am trying to plan a special trip for 2025.
Ideally I‘d like to travel outward from London Heathrow to Nairobi and return from Mauritius to London Gatwick using a BAEC Companion Voucher + Avios + Tax.
Would this qualify as an Openjaw redemption? Geographically Mauritius is further from London than Nairobi is from London and I‘m going round in circles trying to figure it out.
I appreciate anyone who contributes any help.
Best wishes
It’s the distance between Nairobi and Mauritius that is relevant. As long as this isn’t longer than either of the London legs then you’re fine.
Heathrow – Nairobi, 3687nm, Mauritius – Gatwick, 5253nm, Nairobi – Mauritius, 1670nm. Because the open jaw distance is less than the other two then it’s fine. Assuming BA permit returning to Gatwick rather than Heathrow but I can’t think why they wouldn’t?
