Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Qantas T3 – paying for lounge?

    Qantas lounge T3

I have 3 colleagues going through T3 at LHR next month flying AA. One is silver so I assume he can take one guest into Qantas lounge. Is there any way of paying [or some other method] for 3rd person to join them?

It used to be possible to pay for entry when the Qantas lounge first opened, because they had signs at the door, but I seem to remember it looked expensive. I have no idea about the current situation.

I’ve never seen an option to pay, AFAIK it’s business class or status person plus one guest.

I suppose technically it might be possible for the Silver person to guest one into Qantas and another into one of the other lounges 🤷‍♀️

I believe you can. Think I remember seeing prices of £55 for 2h and £110 for 4h when I went in Sept 23.

Yes, I think that’s right, it’s been possible to pay for the QF lounge but no advance reservation. If I recall there was an article about it here.

There have however, been a number of recent rather more realistic reviews about this lounge (and indeed the CX one) that make paying £50+ highly questionable; the highlights of QF are the coffee and good loos, but it’s pretty gloomy if travelling in the day and the breakfast buffet if the à la carte restaurant is closed is fairly awful. Some complain there’s no champagne!

At an Asian airport we had a party of 4 with 3 eligible for lounge, the fee to add an extra guest was approx £24 so we gladly each contributed £6, even though a meal outside the lounge would have been cheaper overall.

With a party of 3, £55 is £18 each. I agree the buffet on its own is sub par, and the 2 hour time limit would pressure me to get my money’s worth rather than being relaxing.

    Thanks all.
