Hi, I know BA silver can guest one person into the lounge. Can someone come please advise me whether you can guest someone who’s flying on a different airline (easyJet)? Thanks
No. It is only someone flying another OW flight departing the same day
Does anybody remember the name of the website that would match people with others to guest them into a lounge? I’d sign up to guest some people in.
While in AMS last week we tried to guest two young girls in front of us who were turned away, with our PP’s. We were told no they needed to be on the same flight.
I’ve guested people with PP and not been asked if they were on the same flight (they were though).
They do check boarding passes as the BA lounges, OH and I guested our son (slumming it in J lol) and a work colleague into the CCR last March. We’re back there in December and will have a spare guest slot!

There was a thread on BAEC flyertalk, that got closed down.

Given how many complaints we read here about overcrowded lounges, ‘matching’ seems designed to exacerbate the problem and further devalue the currency.
Interesting. I would have thought it wasn’t a particularly popular thing. I would be happy to invite someone in.
If I book myself a business class flight using avios, can I still take a guest in the lounge with me? I’m silver status, and they would be on a paid economy ticket they’d booked themselves.
Yes,

A silver member can guest somebody travelling on a OneWorld airline (sometimes the lounges require you to be on a specific airline).
Being in Business allows you to enter the lounge but not to guest anyone.

You can also book your Avios seat in economy and still get both of you access to the lounge via your Silver status.
Thanks all, much appreciated. Just to clarify, reason I was going to book business for me was that I’ll do the same for my wife, and then guest the friend (normally I’d guest my wife). Cheers!
