The bonus for the additional cardholder hitting a spend target is new.

The terms on the link provided by @RTS state you must add the additional cardholder by 31st July and they must meet the spending requirement by the end of October 2021.
Interesting that the webpage hasn’t been taken down – has anyone tried clicking through it recently? If so, has this additional bonus tracked?
This reads as though both bonuses only apply to the *first* supplementary card – is that how others see it? Most of probably already have at least one.
Just read the comment above – yes you can find all sorts of outdated Amex pages, I don’t think they ever cull them! Sometimes the links still work as well …

Yes, that’s how I read it too. “valid for the first approved Supplementary…”
I just applied for a supplementary for my new Platinum card and instantly got 5k points. Is that standard? There is no reference to the platinum card on the linked page.
I think that’s standard on a first Plat SUB, IIRC. You get the points on other cards as well, just not the spend bonus.
