I’m two-flights short of reaching gold and one of these will likely be in the first week of April. Do we know if BA will continue extending the TP collection period as it used to do to allow members to reach a particular status?
I’m puzzled this may be the case considering that all bookings from 1st April will have the new TP calculations, right? Will there be a way for them to allocate TP based on the old/current system?
Thank you
“Two flights short”
Do you mean you need the two flights to meet the 4 qualifying flights for status?
If so then I don’t think the 2 week grace period has ever allowed it for that purpose.
If its you need the TPs to qualify then who knows. But if they do then BA knows how many (old) TPs each route offered. It’s not like that knowledge and info will be wiped from the staff’s memory or IT systems on the 1st April.
Yes I meant TP. I need 300 TP by the end of March. I’ll get them by flying return to RAK in CE. That’s 320 TP but there’s a chance the last return bit will be the first week in April. Argh!

In light of the seismic nature of the TP changes, general absence of goodwill on BA’s part and probable mess over the implementation, I wouldn’t wish to be counting on any extension.
LHR – RAK is 80 TP so 160 return
so if you are expecting 320 is this a BA hols – which makes the posting more complex
Or are you doing it twice?
This really is info you should have provided from the get go!

If you don’t know the return date does that imply you haven’t booked it yet, or that you may be changing an existing booking? If the former then the April flight would be under the new TP rules, so not obviously translatable back to the previous year.
If, as per the previous post, it’s a BAH booking then any double TP won’t post until some time after the return flight, so even less likely to be transferable.
I agree with @JDB’s view that with the current upheaval I wouldn’t want to rely on anything other than straightforward within the published rules activity.
I’m planning to do two return flights, but as these are biz trips they’re not booked yet. If I booked for a date before 1st April then change the dates to the week after, will I earn old or new TPs?
Flights flown on or after 1 Apr will earn hew TP. And will not count towards TP in the short year ending 31Mar2025. So if you need 300TP by 31Mar2025 to retain gold you need to fly before 31 Mar. Fly on or after 1Apr and it will be 20000TP needed

Any flights booked or changed from now (or in fact any time after 13.00 on the announcement day of 30 Dec) that occur on or after 1 April will be on the new TP basis.
