Discuss today's stories:
I upgraded last night and have some spending to do in the next 12-36 hours, and wasn’t sure how it’s handled. Amex CS say that because the account was upgraded recently, they cannot see much details about the offer. I should be eligible for the upgrade offer (coming from a Gold) but I did get a retention offer about a week ago…
Apple Pay has changed and shows me the Platinum card, so I think it should count if I can use Apple Pay but I’m just not sure, especially before spending £1K.
I’m hoping things go smoothly and the card arrives tomorrow, as I probably missed the cut-off time for dispatch last night.
If you are uncertain, why not just be patient and wait for the arrival of the card (which is very imminent)?
Because there’s a high chance I need to make the payment today or tomorrow morning, before the card arrives. I’m just trying to see if people have had experiences regarding this matter.
Yes, you can use Apple pay on the platinum you just got and it will count towards the bonus
Also you can also use the current gold card number as the card number will link to the same account you use.
