We are flying to JNB in October. Is there any chance that BA will release first class Avios seats and that I can upgrade? Thank you ( currently business class tickets but on old layout!)
BA don’t guarantee any 1st class Avios redemption seats so you’re at the mercy of BA. If you do find some, you’ll be charged a change fee of £35 plus difference of taxes. Please note that if you mix CW and F, you will pay more taxes than going 1st both ways. It’s expensive to mix RFS CW with F redemptions. I wouldn’t do just to get away from old CW. It could well change to CS anyway.
