I have a flight from USA>LHR>CDG net week. Paris is not allowing non essential travel so what are my options? Can I take the flight to LHR and then get a refund or travel voucher for the Paris flight? Will they let me board in USA considering I have a connection to Paris after 12hrs. I actually wanted to fly to LHR only was just using the CDG flight for the tier points.
You may be refused boarding in the USA if you can’t show evidence that you will be allowed to enter France. The good news is that it sounds like you have a long layover in LHR so BA may let you just end the journey in LHR. Or they may let you cancel the LHR to CDG sector for a FTV. Ba themselves may also cancel.the flight which would give you more options. Another thing to try is a change of the CDG flight to another non-french destination within 300 miles. I know getting in touch with BA is a PITA but I think you should phone.
