Tesco has launched a new batch of pre-order DVD’s.  Each offers 150 bonus Clubcard points (360 Avios, 375 Virgin Flying Club miles) if you are happy to order and pay now in advance of their release in a few weeks.

There are 60 titles in all which are listed here.

Lego Movie

There is some decent stuff on the list – The Lego Movie, Spiderman 2 etc.  Most are £10 although the cheapest is £7 (Postman Pat).

Some have release dates quite a way in the future.  The Barbie DVD is not out until September!  However, the points should go on as soon as your payment is taken, which is straight away.

Keep an eye on the closing dates.  Most seem to end on June 15th (Sunday).

Looks like you get 200 bonus points for Blu Ray pre orders of the same movie (at least it is a couple I looked at like Lego Movie)

  • Linda says:

Where did you find the offer of 200 points for Blu-ray couldn’t find it anywhere on the Tesco site?

  • Tom says:

That is a very poor deal as BlinkBox ebooks which is part of Tesco is doing the 100 cc for £1.https://headforpoints.com/2014/05/03/new-promo-2000-clubcard-points-4800-avios-for-20-of-ebooks/

You need to actually want the DVD’s in question – it is too expensive on a ‘pence per Avios’ basis to bother otherwise.

I want the Lego movie and Cap 2, so I’ll happily bite. Better than Blinkbox ebooks for me, which don’t work with my old iphone (you need IOS 7 for the app to work).

The Blinkbox books deal is fantastic even if you aren’t going to (or can’t) read the books. You can purchase the books via the website from any computer and if you pay £1 per book, you are basically buying £20 worth of Clubcard vouchers for £20 in cash.
