£50 UK Novotel rooms at 5.50pm – and how to stack them

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

The Novotel brand owned by Accor is, apparently, 50 years old this year.

To celebrate, they are launching a huge sale of £50 rooms TODAY ONLY – at 5.50pm, for 50 minutes.

Details are a little sketchy – see this page of the Novotel website for details.

Novotel Canary Wharf

What I have gleaned from elsewhere is that £50 rooms will be available in 34 UK Novotel properties, including London, between 5.50pm and 6.40pm today (Wednesday).

moneysavingexpert says that the stay dates will be 1st July to 28th January 2018.

According to the Daily Mirror, these are the hotels included.  I am not sure if this is just a cut and paste of every UK Novotel or not!

I reviewed the London property at Blackfriars last year.  It is very impressive and even has a decent pool.  The Canary Wharf hotel is brand new – it literally only opened a few weeks ago – and you would get a good result if you stayed there I’m sure.  I might even try to bag it for a review.

How to stack this with two current promotions

There are two deals which will stack with this offer and make your room even cheaper than £50.

Offer 1 – register here – gets you 500 bonus Accor points on your first UK Accor stay after registering and 1,000 extra Accor points on your 2nd UK Accor stay

Offer 2 – ‘triple or quadruple Accor points’ on every stay (full details in this article, register here) if you are staying before 3rd September

Full details of this offer are on the Novotel website here.

  • Luke says:

Is this promo valid for UK property only or worldwide? Terms on mobile website doesn’t say anything..

  • Andy H says:

These rooms are bookable from 1st July, but the triple Avios offer (2b) expires 30th June, so these cannot be combined surely(?)

  • Simon says:

Plainly obvious what will happen if MSE are involved.

    5.50pm – Promo goes live
5.51pm – Site ends up breaking because of over-capacity
    6.40pm – One hour wasted

    • Gavin says:

50 minutes wasted surely? Worth a go booking a few rooms though

      • Simon says:

I forgot to include the pre-sale period where you feverishly are sitting at the sale page pressing the refresh key!

I agree though, worth a go, expect all the London ones to be gone.

      • Eli Gold says:

good thing is it’ll be limited to only 50 minutes of frustration and screen bashing and refreshing

    • wetboy1uk says:

Why just because MSE are involved? What about all the other sites (such as this) which details the promotions?

    • wetboy1uk says:

Why just because MSE are involved? Al sites which highlight promotions would have an impact – one of which you are clearly using to list your negative comment!

      • Kathy says:

MSE gets the most traffic. It’s not just a travel site, it has a readership of millions!

      • Genghis says:

MSE has 15m users pcm (does that mean individual people?)
        http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/about-the-site

HfP 1.4m page views (by multiple persons?) pcm

Someone who has any idea about website views please correct but essentially MSE is huge.

        • wetboy1uk says:

Yes it is huge but as noted it is not just limited to travel offers and not targeted. I am not disputing the effects of any site but just curious as to the comment by someone who clearly uses sites to find deals.

  • Barry cutters says:

    These hotels are decent.
    the deal is excellent.
    I’m in. (multiple times)

  • BigDave says:

dang need rooms for next week london not july !

  • Gavin says:

I’m going to aim for a London Saturday in December, and a weekend away somewhere regional in the Autumn I think. Probably not Ipswich or Stevenage tho

  • Duncan says:

I have a refundable hotel in September in London for two nights, so if I can get one of these rooms instead I’ll save £100. Not holding my breath, but we’ll see!

It does say selected dates only in the T&C so I guess we’ll see…
