  • Michael says:

Can I use Heathrow Rewards points also for short term parking? Last time I did not see a possibility to pay with HR points.

    • ankomonkey says:

I have done so a couple of years ago, but can’t remember how I did it. As far as I know it’s still possible.

    • MrHandBaggageOnly says:

Yes, but you have to order the Rewards before beginning the booking process.

  • Jon says:

Sometimes many months in my experience. But you should chase up if it has been more than whatever it says in the blurb for the hotel in question. But be warned – it seems Avios will do anything they can to avoid paying out. The number of stays I’ve had that turned out to be ineligible because they were “specialty” rates (which it seems can be made to apply to just about anything except the best available rate – sale rates (inconsistently, it seems), government rates (which are often the same as best available but with a later cancel-by time), the paid half of Ambassador Weekend Certificate rates, anything with the slightest hint of a promotion attached to it… :-/ Good luck!

  • John says:

Hotels are different from other websites and avios may take 4 months to post after the *stay*, according to avios.com. This could be over a year from the date of booking. I have had some pay out after that long.

  • Jay says:

One that could be added to the list is the ‘everyday’ spend offer of 500 Avios points with Amex which expires on 24th Sept. Still need to redeem myself!

  • EwanG says:

One more date to add: 30th September is the last day for an extra 6,000 Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles when you open a Virgin Money stocks and shares ISA however my fingers are crossed the bonus improves in October as it has been higher in the past, just not at a suitable time for me!

    • Genghis says:

Thought going further into Oct risk going into next tax year for your 6 payments.

      • the real harry1 says:

yep but on reflection setting it up as late as 30th Sept with first payment 20th-30th October should be OK
