Miles and points offers which are about to close

I held back from running this article last weekend as there wasn’t much happening.  That isn’t the case today, with a lot of decent offers closing on Tuesday as July draws to a close.

The key deal is the 100% bonus on Heathrow Rewards transfers into shopping vouchers.  We wrote about that here.

Even more interestingly …. a clever arbitrage means you can get 1p (in Heathrow shopping vouchers) per Amex Membership Rewards or Emirates Skywards mile you have.  I explained how here.  This deal ends on Monday.

Deals closing soon

Monday 30th July

Last day to get a 100% bonus when you convert your Heathrow Rewards points to Heathrow shopping vouchers.  Article.

Tuesday 31st July

Last day for HfP exclusive offer 5,000 bonus IHG points at Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam. Article.

Last day for 50% bonus on Emirates Skywards transfers to Heathrow Rewards.  Article.

Last day to get 30% bonus miles using Virgin Atlantic Miles Booster.  Article.

Last day to book ‘early bird’ F1 packages via Etihad for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.  Article.

Last day for IHG stays to count towards the current Accelerate promotion. Article.

Last day to get 35% off Hertz and earn Marriott and SPG bonus points. Article.

Last day to book a hotel via trip.com to earn double Avios.  Article.

Last day for 3,000 bonus IHG Rewards Club points with a Hertz rental.  Article.

Monday 6th August

Last day to buy or gift Avios with a bonus of up to 45%.  Article.

Tuesday 7th August

Last day for 10,000 Virgin Flying Club miles with life insurance (they changed the rules, now £10 minimum monthly payment needed). Article.

Sunday 12th August

Last day to get 1,050 Avios for £12 via The Economist.  Article.

Saturday 18th August

Marriott Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest merge, the new redemption chart, new elite benefits and points earning chart are launched.  Article.

Sunday 19th August

Last day to book a Fairmont / Accor / Swissotel with 1000 bonus Accor points.  Article.

    Is it still the 4th August to but Travel Packages before ???? because the Amex MR to SPG transfers have been blocked until the 8th August now so I can’t get a Travel Package because I need to move some Amex points into SPG in order to have enough Marriot Rewards points ��

    Hi Rob. Wanted to transfer amex points over to marriot via spg account. Will there be any difference doing it now or after August merger.
    2 amex points equals 1 spg equals 3 marriot
    So 1 amex equals 1.5 marriot.
    Will this change
