ENDS 14th NOVEMBER: Get 10,000 bonus Avios with Kaligo hotel bookings via our exclusive HFP deal

I wanted to give you another reminder today that Head for Points and hotel booking site Kaligo.com, which awards Avios with every hotel you book, are running an EXCLUSIVE promotion for the next 11 days.

It is a simple, straightforward and potentially lucrative one.

If you spend over £700 on hotels at Kaligo.com before midnight on Wednesday 14th November, across one or numerous bookings, you will receive 8,000 bonus Avios.

These points are in addition to the everyday benefit of 5 – 20 Avios per £1 spent you will receive for every booking all year round.

Even better, if you are a new customer and have never before booked a hotel on Kaligo.com before, you will earn an additional 2,000 Avios with your first booking of any value.

That makes a possible total of 10,000 Avios for new customers and 8,000 Avios for existing Kaligo.com customers in addition to the everyday Avios earned if you manage to spend £700.

The stays only need to be completed by 30th June 2019.

You MUST book via this special HFP promotional website in order to receive the bonus.

Kaligo Head for Points offer

As usual with such promotions, you need to check your pricing before you book. Kaligo.com is not always the cheapest place to book – it depends on the property. However, when you factor in the value of the 8,000 bonus Avios for just £700 of spending – plus the base Avios you earn from your stay – they should be looking pretty good indeed.

Here is an example from the Kaligo.com site showing what you could earn:

kaligo price avios example

Remember that you will usually not earn points for your room spend in any hotel loyalty programme linked to the property you book if you use Kaligo.com (or indeed any third-party hotel booking site). Depending on the hotel, you may receive status benefits or points for your food and drink spend.

This offer runs until midnight on Wednesday 14th November 2018 although your stays can be until 30th June 2019. I would start to think about your hotel plans for the next few months and see if you can find £700-worth which you can divert to Kaligo.com.  Remember that you do NOT need to spend the full £700 in one booking – it can be across numerous bookings.

Remember that you MUST book via this page on the Kaligo.com website.

It is fair to say that Kaligo.com’s customer service is excellent – their representatives even pop up on social media to answer queries – so you should have no concerns at all about your bonus posting properly. The company is also very punctual at posting your Avios once you have checked out and if you do have any issues we can speak to the right people on your behalf.

Thanks to the team at Kaligo.com for making this exclusive deal available to Head for Points readers.

  1. OT but no bits today. Is BA Redemption Finder broken for anyone else? I can’t get it to display any availability anywhere…

    • Lady London says:

Could you verify by checking for New York or Paris, routes which would normally have many more award seats available to be found?

if you come up with zero availability for the next year on those, then the software’s not working or you entered something restrictive (which is hardly possible on baredemptionfinder).

      • Okay, I worked out what the problem was. I tried Paris as suggested, and it was still coming up all blank. Then I tried to change LHR to LON on the search, and all of a sudden it worked….

Seems like bad coding on their part, IMO, but at least it’s sorted.

        • Lady London says:

Yes. I’ve noticed that sometimes when searching for seats on British Airways, it won’t accept you putting in the correct 3-letter code for the airport. It wants you to type “London” and not “LHR” for example. Iberia does that too on its main screen (not on its Advanced screen).

  2. Does this work on multiple rooms for the same booking? (2 rooms for the same 2 nights – 4 people)

  3. O/T WOOHOO!!

3K points on Marriott Daily Play!

  4. Roger Wilco says:

Advice – is there any disadvantage in booking an SPG/Marriott property through Amex Travel (or any other 3rd party site for that matter) when you have gold. Had understood that Marriott respect status regardless of how one has booked.

    • As a mere Gold, what benefit exactly do you think you’ll get?

      • Roger Wilco says:

Late checkout, 25% bonus points on purchasing a stay that might still be swung even though through a 3rd party, room upgrade if possible, you know – the things you don’t get for being a straightforward member or silver. I am, as a mere gold, humbled by your response.

    • Genghis says:

“Had understood that Marriott respect status regardless of how one has booked.“
No longer. Need to book direct.

  5. There was a seemingly pleasant Avios offer in October of 22,000 (or so) points for taking a 3year subscription to the Economist.

The magazine is going downhill fast in my view and they destroyed the iPad app, but points still interested me. But despite trying over several days and every browser known to man, could never get their website with the offer linked from the BA website to progress to the payment screen. Given the magazine is in decline was not motivated to go a step further and contact them and ask if they wanted my money, and felt they wasted an hour or so of my time.

    • Lady London says:

Do you have the link? 22,000 would make me get off my ******. I can report back if I make it work.
