How do I earn Avios from their eStore for my online internet shopping?

Most people know that you can earn Avios by flying with British Airways or its partners. In this article we will look at ways you can earn Avios by shopping online, via the Avios eStore.

The good news is that booking flights is not the only way to earn Avios. British Airways also has a long list of commercial partners that let you earn the reward points on almost any purchase – from insurance, petrol stations and Sainsbury’s, to a huge variety of high-street shops. To find a complete list of Avios retail partners, head to shopping.ba.com or download the Avios app.

To earn Avios on online shopping purchases, you must make sure that you go to the shopping.ba.com eStore and click through to your desired retailer from there.

You will not be eligible to earn rewards from any other cashback sites at the same time, and if you use a cashback link from another site after clicking through at shopping.ba.com you will not earn any Avios.  I recommed visiting cashbackangel.com to compare the different reward portals for any given online retailer.

Different retailers offer different earning rates, with many retailers offering more than 10 Avios per £ spent.

As with cashback sites such as TopCashback, Avios from the online eStore shop cannot be guaranteed.  If you use any discount codes it is likely that you may invalidate your points, and transactions can fail to track for a variety of IT reasons.

Treat the Avios you receive as an extra bonus and don’t buy anything purely for the points. If another store offers a slightly cheaper price but no Avios, you may be better off taking that route and removing any risk of your reward not tracking.

It works on instore shopping too!

Avios has recently added a range of retailers where you can earn points for shopping instore.

You simply register your credit card with the Avios estore. You give them permission to scan your credit card transactions, and when you visit a participating retailer you will earn Avios.

The list of stores and restaurants is niche, to be honest, but it doesn’t matter. Simply register your credit cards and forget about it. You may be surprised at some point in the future with some free Avios.
