The BRIT Awards is the annual celebration of British music, or at least the more popular end of it.  IHG Rewards Club, in conjunction with event sponsor Mastercard, is offering two fantastic VIP packages via the IHG Access auction platform.

First up is a very decent package:

2 X Level 1 tickets to The BRIT Awards 2020 on 18th February
2 x Tickets to The Official BRITs After Show Party
1 night stay at the InterContinental London – The O2
Food allowance at the InterContinental London – The O2
 Travel allowance

There is also a second package which adds:

1 x Capture the moment Experience: You and your guest can capture the stars’ arrival to the BRITs on camera and on the red carpet.

You must have a Mastercard to enter, but any Mastercard will do – it doesn’t need to be the IHG Rewards Club one.

The first package is here (current bid 78000 points) and the second package is here (current bid 101,000 points).

If you don’t have enough points for this, there is also a package up for grabs on Facebook – see here.

PS.  The IHG Access page is also offering concert tickets, mainly at ‘buy it now’ prices, at The SSE Arena for Lewis Capaldi, Jonas Brothers and Tadeschi Trucks Brands.

    OT Revolut

Had a notification on my (Android) phone today from Revolut. I think it started with something like ‘Good news. Spend…’.
Couldn’t see the rest of it. Notification disappears after selection. Can’t view it from Revolut app.

Anyone had anything similar and if so, was it exciting?

    • the_real_a says:

haha – hold the notification with your left thumb and then with your right thumb swipe right or down to see the full notification…

I reported this back in the Revolut Beta days… annoyed the heck out of me!

Rob – was in Berlin in 2018, stayed at the Hilton, its location is IMHO far superior to that of the WA. We did visit the WA when out br Zoo for a drink which is nice inside, but I think I’d stay in the Hilton again, especially if I got another upgrade to a suite.

You should check out the roof terrace of hotel de Roma (Rocoforte) nice views having a cocktail

Willie Walsh ‘scandal’ reported in the Sunday Times – he (divorced) is in a relationship with a woman who works in Finance! Big deal, sez I, we’re not uptight this way like the Americans, how else was he supposed to meet a new lady in his life? Though – he did say 2 months ago he’d carry on working another 2 years! Probably realised that at 58 he’s not getting any younger, that’s all.

In other news – no external candidates were interviewed for the CEO position.

Dating a colleague that doesn’t work for him. Who cares. Papers need to focus on reporting real news not people’s personal lives.

    Oh dear… Flybe, or Flymaybe.

Booking a Hampton for a convenient airport stay for an early flight.

Trying to decide between 30k HH pts for a flexible booking or £100 in the sale.

To be honest I think both are overpriced but its peak season with School holidays.

    • Alex W says:

Waste of HH, surely you can do better than 0.33p per point with your trips to Maldives. 2,000 points per night promotion might swing it.

      • TripRep says:

Aye, 30k HH pts is $150/£115 in the current 100% bonus offer.

The flexible equivalent room price is £125.

You could argue that not burning points and going for a sale price of £100 I’m effectively buying 30k points (+ base & bonus for stay) with restrictions of a non refundable booking.
