OT: Got Langley 1 night booked for June. Got ~76k Marriott points to go, any recommendations for use in the UK? Live in London so ideally outside it, but open minded. Flexible on 1 / 2 nights.

  • rams1981 says:

OT Tandem. Is anyone going to continue to use them after 9 March and pay the fee? I put through some transactions in EUR last week and got 1.185 with Tandem vs 1.177 with Curve. As it was for 1200 euros that’s a £6 difference… got me thinking if it’s worth keeping.

£6 a month fee? There are better options for cheaper.

E.g. Santander all in One MasterCard, 0.5% back, £3 a month fee springs to mind

OT — I need to claim on Amex’s rental car insurance for the first time and will ring them tomorrow. Anything in particular to be aware of? Any insights into how long the whole process normally takes?

    • Rob says:

I have claimed twice and never had major issues, as long as you’ve got the paperwork from the rental company. Never had anything questioned.

New “weak” Bonvoy promotion is now live for registration. Check your accounts.

OT: Can anyone confirm that an IHG credit card free night can be flexibly cancelled and rearranged in the same way as a reward night?
