British Airways and Marriott have partnered to offer €350 resort credit at selected Marriott hotels during the British Airways sale.

You can also get £100 off £350 Small Luxury Hotels spend with American Express. This is also your final call for the excellent £49 Jurys Inn B&B deal!

If Avios are more your thing, Accor is offering a bonus – 6,000 Avios or €120 for 3x 2-night hotel stays.

Finally, the TAP Star Alliance status match is still active and Rob was able to match his British Airways Gold status.

Latest travel corridors update

No new countries were added to the England quarantine list, but we do have a list of all the countries you can now go to (pending their entry requirements!) without quarantining on your return.

Jersey has also tightened its entry rules for UK nationals – it is now dependent on your local authority!

Virgin Atlantic

This week, Virgin Atlantic announced it is launching flights to Lahore and Islamabad in Pakistan. Whilst this may seem an odd route to launch there are a few reasons why it might make sense!

Virgin have also made further improvements to on-board food and drink, including the introduction of special meals.

We also took another look at the Virgin credit card vouchers, which now require ZERO miles if you want to benefit from an upgrade or 2-4-1!

American Express news

This week, American Express launched a bonus Avios offer for cardholders of the free British Airways American Express card that will let you earn up to 1,000 Avios on top of the usual earning rate.

We also took a look at how you can access some Lufthansa airport lounges with American Express Platinum, which has just been extended.

British Airways

It looks like the end of ‘mid haul’ aircraft at British Airways as it withdraws the ex-BMI A321 fleet and the secret business class seat.

Hotels

With the various hotel status matches and promotions now active, Rob takes a look at how to get Hilton Honors Diamond status with just nine nights.

Our exclusive 10,000 Avios bonus promotion with Kaligo.com is also still active.

And finally, after a holiday in Cornwall last week Rob explains why the Holiday Inn Express Bodmin Victoria Junction makes the perfect base for exploring the area.
