2,000 lucky holders of The Platinum Card from American Express are about to get themselves a very generous offer indeed – £400 of free Marriott International hotel stays.

This new offer has just launched. Only 2,000 people are able to register.

If you have The Platinum Card, I STRONGLY recommend that you look at your online offers page IMMEDIATELY. If you see this offer, click ‘save to card’. It will disappear as soon as 2,000 people have saved it.

American Express Amex Platinum card £400 free Marriott stays

I do NOT have this offer. It is possible that this is one for non-Londoners.

Do I really get £400 of free stays?

Yes. Here are the terms:

Spend £400 and get £400 cashback

You must stay by 23rd November

Valid at participating hotels

£400 of free Marriott hotel stays

What hotels are ‘participating’?

Not many, unfortunately. However, they are all very high end and you’re in for a treat with your free £400.

In the UK, your options are:

I live in London. This is pointless for me.

No it isn’t. Assuming that you simply don’t just fancy a change of scene, how about this?

Book the cheapest room you can find, and then spend the difference up to £400 in the hotel restaurant and bar. Go home at night if you must, then pop back to check out the next day.

Think of all the Marriott Bonvoy points you’ll earn as well.

There are numerous non-UK options too although only two German hotels are outside the UK quarantine rules.

If you are targetted for this offer, you are in for a great short break. Enjoy.

PS. On Tuesday, I hope to run another article showing the special benefits that you will get if you book via our hotel booking partner Emyr Thomas.

Have booked the Grosvenor House for weekend after next and applied a couple of suite night certificates to it. Will do very nicely.

  • Rob says:

And Amex knows where you booked how?

  • Andreas says:

I booked The Langley via FHR for just over £400 for the night. I have never stayed at a hotel anywhere near this price range before, I’m rather excited!

    • Harry T says:

The Langley is overpriced IMO but it has an amazing spa (book in advance to use the pool etc as I suspect covid will cause it to be limited access) and the hard product is excellent. Hopefully you’ll get a good sized room in the main house if you’ve used FHR. Apparently the Brewhouse is a bit rubbish.

      • TGLoyalty says:

Brew house is very nice try a terrace room if you can. The rooms in the main house can be pretty noisy especially if the door opens on to the main landing.

  • Simon says:

Code still working here for us (5mins ago), wife is the primary and we are NW3 in London.

  • Harry T says:

Amex will only know who charges your card, I should think.

  • Cat says:

Hey, I’m a bit late to this one (but amazingly, I was targeted for this offer – Marriott has now completely made up for Qatar’s rather exhausting offer from last week!). I would love some quality time in a spa, but I’m not sure I trust that we’ll still be on tier 1 come late November. Which of the hotels has an amazing spa (ideally one that’s still open, despite COVID, and is kept in a pristine condition), other than the Langley?
Thanks Rob, I’m delighted to hear about this one in time to be one of the lucky 2000!

    • s879 says:

Would like to know the same. Waiting for Langley to open seems quite risky. I’d rather just use it for a night soon. Which one would be good for 2 kids too please?

  • Alan says:

Think you can remove the non-Londoners bit, Rob – looks like it anything it’s the other way round and we’re the ones not getting the offer!

  • María J says:

I’ve just added it :). Thank you Rob!
