Get a £5 or £10 American Express cashback credit at BP garages

American Express has launched a series of cashback offers with BP garages.

There appears to be two different versions:

  • £10 back on a £30 spend
  • £5 back on a £30 spend
BP American Express cashback

The good news is that, if you have multiple Amex cards, you might find – as I was – that you are targeted for both across different products.

All offers expire on 29th August.

There is a 51-page list of participating garages provided. It isn’t clear if the credit triggers on food or gift card purchases from the shop but I suspect that it will.

£10 on my and wife’s Platinum plus two supps on each total six cards.
But we usually spend less than £30 per month on fuel.

  • Will says:

I loaded BP on one card last night. The second one was not available when clicked on. I suspect mine was the 15000th and no more appeared on other cards.

  • AndyQ8 says:

I still have my Harrods Amex. The only deals I seem to get are for LNER, (I live in the south west!) and various hotels. Never anything so useful as this. 🙄

    • Andrew says:

You can buy train tickets for any route in the country on LNER and it triggers the offer, not limited to LNER services.

  • John says:

2FA is so annoying because I can’t log on to my wife’s account to save her offers any more.

    • Andrew says:

Change the mobile number on her account to yours then you’ll get the text.

      • John says:

I use email 2FA as I can’t guarantee what SIM I will have in my phone, and Gmail makes it annoying to log in and out of one account while having the other accounts remaining signed in.

Anyway i got 2 out of 4, but there are two ways of looking at it, I can be pissed that I missed 2 offers or happy that I got 2 offers at all because I was busy all day yesterday and wouldn’t have known about it until today except that I was waiting for a train at 5am when the first comment on yesterday’s thread was posted.

        • SteveKicks says:

You could have one gmail account logged in on the Gmail app, one in the Outlook app and another in the default Mail app, all at once 🙂

  • Doog1000 says:

Does anyone know if the offer is cumulative – say 3 £10 spends at BP?

  • Craig says:

Saved across 5 cards, it will make filling up the gas guzzler a bit easier even if the only BP near me is about the most expensive locally.

  • Aston100 says:

I have the £10 for £30 spend version on 4 cards.
I currently do not have a car.

Would be good to hear if spending on M&S goods in a combined M&S / BP petrol station would trigger these offers.

I’d try it myself but the nearest such place is a car ride away.

    • The Streets says:

It has done for me in the past

    • Nick says:

IMHO I don’t see why not if it’s on the participating stores list.

    • TGLoyalty says:

It will. It’s the exact same till and card machine.

    • flyoff says:

A local large BP always has good stock of M&S giftcards that previously have triggered the offer. I can’t see why things have changed. It is a shame though the M&S shops at BP do not accept M&S giftcards so you need to spend at M&S in store or online

  • David D says:

I saved the £30 offer to my PRG last night.
