Hilton: $200 credit, GUARANTEED upgrade when booking, free breakfast and 2x points at 50 hotels

Links on Head for Points may support the site by paying a commission.  See here for all partner links.

Hilton has launched an exceptionally strong offer for 50 of its leading luxury hotels.

This offer is ONLY available if you book via a luxury travel agent who is signed up to Hilton’s Impresario programme. Luckily for you, our hotel partner Emyr Thomas at Bon Vivant is one of these, and can handle your booking for you.

This is what Hilton is offering:

Hilton Impresarios Susona Bodrum

The only criteria are:

  • you book for at least two nights
  • you stay before 31st December 2021

In return, you receive:

  • a guaranteed upgrade at the time of booking, which can save you a lot of money
  • $200 or equivalent to spend on food, drink or spa services in the hotel
  • free breakfast for two people
  • double Hilton Honors points

The rate you pay will be identical to the Best Flexible Rate with no breakfast on hilton.com.

How can a guaranteed upgrade save you money?

There is nothing better in the hotel world than an upgrade that is guaranteed at the time of booking.

Let’s assume that I want a room to sleep four people. If my upgrade is only ‘subject to availability on arrival’, I have no choice but to book the room I want and treat any further upgrade as a bonus.

However, with a guaranteed upgrade I can book a room I DON’T want knowing I will get the one I do. We do this with the Hyatt Prive scheme, which also has guaranteed upgrades when booking, whenever we visit my parents-in-law in Hamburg. We book a room which sleeps two, one level below a suite, and get the guaranteed upgrade into the suite which sleeps four. (Technically, Hyatt can refuse the upgrade if it believes the hotel will be full, but you can simply cancel the booking immediately in that case – the refusal must come within 24 hours of booking.)

However, you cannot combine the 3-4-2 or 4-4-3 deals with the $200 credit offer. It needs to be one or the other – the free night is likely to be better.

  • Waldorf Astoria Jeddah (‘five nights for four’)
  • Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, pictured below

Conrad Algarve also offer 4-4-3, albeit not valid during July and August.

Waldorf Astoria Maldives

Whilst this is a bit of a niche market, there is also a generous Impresario deal at Waldorf Astoria Maldives, valid up to 20th December.

You will save 25%-30% depending on length of stay and you will get free half board and, for a very chunky saving, free transfers from Male. Drop Emyr a note via the link below if this is of interest.

To book

The only way of booking these offers is via a travel agent who partners with Hilton’s Impresario service.

The easiest option is to use our partner Bon Vivant. You can contact them via the form on this page of HfP. Bon Vivant has booked over £1.3 million of rooms for HfP readers and feedback is universally positive.

  • Gareth says:

Surely you can only double up to the 342 offer if the hotel is on both lists? Eg Conrad St James is only on one?

  • Terry nutkins says:

You mention a “free breakfast” but i was under the impression that all hilton branded hotels, in north america, have done away with any kind of breakfast, until the end of the year, and are now issuing food credits, the value of which depends on the brand, for example $25 per person per night in a conrad.

    • Rob says:

No, they have removed breakfast for status members. This is different.

      • Justin says:

Does this also mean bookings through FHR aren’t affected by this breakfast change too?

        • Rob says:

          Correct.

As are all rooms which are booked with inclusive breakfast.

  • Mr(s) Entitled says:

But is the upgrade defined or can this include a room on a higher floor, or better position away from the lift etc? Seems hotels often have the option to ‘upgrade’ within the same class of room.

  • Paul says:

How many of the countries listed either restrict entry of U.K. nationals or have a requirement for hotel quarantine on the return! USA, Turkey Indonesia ….. actually almost everyone. This isn’t an offer, it’s a form of torture…

  • Nathan says:

Hello hivemind. I see the Biltmore on the list, which I once walked past plenty but never stayed, and so to the question; is there a redemption sweetspot for Mayfair hotels on, say, a mid-November weekend?

Or, indeed, readers’ choice for their ‘special occasion’ venue in the vicinity? (My choice was to be The Savoy but I have been overruled 🙁)

  • roberto says:

If I book a 3 night stay under the current promotion I would get 3 x points , if I book this offer with Emyr would I get double points again ? So would that be 6x or would I get the x3 promo plus and extra free double points making x4?

  • AndyC says:

    *Hilton Impresario.

  • Rob says:

    Yes – possibly member BAR
