MyMail may be dropping exclusive Nectar redemptions

On top of the news that train operator GWR is pulling out of the Nectar loyalty scheme, an interesting survey arrives ….

The Daily Mail is still a core Nectar partner, despite the social media storm which accompanied the original announcement. What most Nectar collectors don’t know is that there are exclusive Nectar redemptions which are only available via the MyMail website.

The most high profile one is Marks & Spencer. As we covered here, you can redeem Nectar points for M&S vouchers (theoretically non-food but I don’t know if this is enforced) but only via MyMail.

According to the survey being sent around, which is surprisingly candid:

MyMail dropping Nectar

…. MyMail is considering dropping these exclusive redemptions.

This won’t be the end of The Daily Mail / Nectar partnership, however. The next question in the survey asks if you would be keen to redeem Nectar points for digital subscriptions to the Mail, at the standard 0.5p per point rate.

PS. If you don’t have the Nectar American Express credit card, take a look at our review here.
