IHG One Rewards has just dropped some tickets for upcoming EPCR Challenge Cup and Heineken Champions Cup rugby games onto the relaunched IHG Access platform this morning.

All are priced at 20,000 IHG One Rewards points for two tickets.

Redeem IHG One Rewards points for European rugby tickets

This is what is available at the time of publication (9.45am):

EPCR Challenge Cup:

  • Cardiff Rugby vs. CA Brive at Cardiff Arms Park, Cardiff – Saturday 10th December
  • Stade Français Paris vs. Benetton Rugby at Stade Jean Bouin, Paris – Friday 9th December
  • Bath Rugby vs. Glasgow Warriors at The Recreation Ground, Bath – Saturday 10th December

Heineken Champions Cup:

  • SM Clermont Auvergne vs. DHL Stormers at Stade Marcel-Michelin, Clermont – Saturday 10th December
  • London Irish vs. Montpellier Hérault at Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford – Friday 9th December
  • Racing 92 vs. Leinster Rugby at Stade Océane, Le Havre – Saturday 10th December
  • Munster Rugby vs. Stade Toulousain at Thomond Park, Limerick – Sunday 11th December

Remember that these are not auctions, they are ‘buy it now’ deals. There is no hospitality element – you are simply using 20,000 IHG One Rewards points for two tickets.

I would value 20,000 IHG One Rewards points at £80. Check cash pricing before you redeem – these games are not all sold out. If you are getting the best seats available, however, then you should come out on top versus using cash.

There is one other interesting item, which IS an auction. To quote:

Gain access to the EPCR Season Launch event at the Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross on Wednesday 30th November and get up close and personal with the players; thanks to our partnership with EPCR. Package applicable for two (2) invitations and includes:

·        Attending a panel discussion with 8 players

·        A chance to take a picture with the players and the trophy

·        Buffet lunch

We wouldn’t normally recommend a day out in Gerrards Cross, but with a minimum bid of just 10,000 IHG One Rewards points – and with no bids so far – this is a good deal for a rugby fan.

Log into the IHG Access reward platform here to redeem for any of these events.

    “…Gerrards Gross”

Well, it’s time he had a shower, then!

  • BSI1978 says:

Good that you caveated this by asking people to check actual cash prices; the HC isn’t what it was on the whole, particularly the group stages and I am not sure any of these represent value.

The exception is clearly Racing vs. Leinster, although have to factor in the travel / accommodation etc. Injuries permitting Russell going up against Sexton, and all of the Racing stars against basically the Ireland team (shorn of a couple of Munster/Ulster players) should be some game.

Does anyone know if the BA lounge is available at twickenham this autumn series.

I’m there for the NZ /SA games over the next two weeks.

    *Union

Rugby during the Football World Cup? No wonder the tickets are only 20,000 points!

  • Jens Fallesen says:

Getting this error when trying to redeem for the Bath game:

    Product purchase not allowed (PPVR_ICA_1)

Does anyone know what this might mean? Weird way of saying sold out?

  • Alex W says:

Bath tickets are currently on sale for £15 each so 20k points per pair doesn’t sound like a good deal. Even the most expensive ‘gold’ tickets are only £35 each.
The IHG page doesn’t say what seats you get, anyone have any experience of redeeming at the Rec?

    • Alex W says:

Ignore me £15 is the junior price and the adult price is £40

    • Jens Fallesen says:

I am sitting on a stash of points that I want to run down so they are effectively valued at £0 to my anyway…
